absolution

someone is seeking absolution in a river; someone in a pond; someone has pushed that someone into the pond and instead of saving him (he asked or absolution, not swimming lessons) he instead saved a string of frog eggs, swallowed them, and is waiting for the kind of absolution he knows is not found between stained glass; someone is seeking absolution in a bottle; another in a glass pipe (the same that only a week ago was seeking absolution on a grasshopper); all this seeking, all these absolutions, no wonder a vodka has purloined part of the word, no wonder he with the collection basket has purloined the meaning of absolution - start a garden, kiss a snail, box a butterfly, and marry a rough stone. there's your god-darned absentee lotion.
